Faith in Action fruit sale

Faith in Action of Piatt County kicked off its latest fundraising drive Oct. 29. During this year’s drive, churches in Piatt County will make available fresh citrus fruit from California and Texas. The drive, themed “Great Fruit For A Great Cause,” is expected to raise much-needed funds for operational needs for Faith in Action.

The fruit orders will be taken through Nov. 19.

Buyers may choose from grove-fresh California naval oranges and Texas grapefruit. FiA will also offer cheese and nuts packaged for gift giving.

Faith in Action Chairman Fred Erickson expects great success this year with the fruit sales.

“After all, everyone should love fruit and it benefits Faith in Action, what we consider a great elder volunteer outreach in our County. This year they have added mangoes and Honey Crisp apples,” said Erickson. “I appreciate the generosity of this County! This sale is vital to Faith in Action.”

For more information about the fruit sale, contact Fred Erickson, 762-2883 or Faith in Action 762-7575 ext. 3. Delivery will be approximately the first full week in December.

Delivery is possible when ordering fruit.
