MTA tryouts this weekend

The Monticello Theatre Association will hold auditions for its next production, “Dial ‘M’ for Murder,” by Frederick Knott, from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, and Sunday, March 19 at the Phoenix Theatre, 1406 N. Market Street, Monticello. Audition materials will be provided.

The production will run May 6 and 7, and May 12, 13, and 14, and will be directed by Leonard Rumery. “Dial ‘M’ for Murder” calls for one woman 25-35, three men 25-40, one man or woman over 30, and two other men or women.

In “Dial ‘M’ for Murder,” a has-been tennis player has married his wife for her money and now plans to murder her for the same reason. He arranges the perfect murder, but things do not go as planned.
