U.S. Rep. Rodney Davis (R-Taylorville) has announced upcoming Open Office Hours in Monticello, Taylorville, Clinton, and Hardin. He will meet with constituents individually or in small groups about issues important to them.
Hours in Monticello will be from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7 at the Monticello Municipal Building, 210 N. Hamilton St.
In 2019 Davis has held seven Open Office Hours and two Open Government Nights covering 9 different counties. Throughout his tenure in Congress he has hosted 73 total. Also this year his staff have hosted 22 Traveling Help Desks covering 11 counties. There have been 106 of these constituent service events over Davis’ tenure.
“Ensuring constituents have an opportunity to meet with me and voice their concerns about a particular issue or get help with a federal agency continues to be my priority,” said Davis. “Open Office Hours allow me to have personal, one-on-one conversations with people about the issues they care about.”
In addition to scheduled constituent meetings, Congressman Davis holds Open Office Hours to give constituents an opportunity to meet with him about issues they care about. Meetings will be taken on a first-come, first-serve basis. No appointments are necessary. Due to office space constraints, meetings will be limited to no more than five people at a time and each meeting will have up to 10 minutes to discuss any issue of their choosing.
