The Monticello school board approved several personnel moves at a special meeting Saturday morning (Aug. 3), about two weeks ahead of the start of school on Aug. 16. Teachers report for institute days on Aug. 14-15.

Resignations approved were: Jake Elliott, middle school physical education, Kim Fincham, Lincoln Elementary lunchroom supervisor; Becky Hanson, part-time Washington Elementary cook; Lisa Bright, part-time Washington Elementary cook; Shelley Kraus, part-time high school cook; Morgen McGraw, Washington Elementary special education aide; and Erica Rudolph, high school French teacher.

Hired by the board were: Megan Parsons, fifth grade teacher at Washington Elementary; Steve Kirk, middle school physical education teacher; and Sue Trusty, high school teacher for the leave of absence for Emile Walk.

Also approved were two transfers, John Johns from middle school math to fifth grade teacher at Washington; and Kari Trybom, special education aide from the middle school to the high school.
