Certified recovery coach and advocate for mental health Nadine Machkovech will speak in Arthur and Monticello next week in talks open to the public.
Machkovech, who has been featured on TedTalks and in Forbes Magazine, will give a presentation at 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 15 at Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond High School, and at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 16 at the Piatt County Mental Health Center.
At ALAH, she will provide education through storytelling.
Machkovech will be available to answer questions about substance abuse, mental health and advocacy the next night at The Center.
She is also the chief of operations of Rise Together, a grassroots non-profit organization that exists to “ignite a movement of hope that is saving lives.”
Machkovech will also speak during the school day on April 16 at Monticello Middle School and Monticello High School.
