Elizabeth Ann ‘Betty" Tate Eades, 84, of Monticello, formerly of Lodge, passed away at 8 a.m. Jan. 1, 2019 at her residence.
Betty was born on April 14, 1934 in Galatia, the daughter of Paul Olen and Delsia (Reasons) Tate. She married General Wite Eades, Jr. on Feb. 23, 1951 in Bement. He passed away April 19, 2015.
Betty is survived by one daughter, Karen McGee of Monticello; one son, Gary (Sue) Eades of Weatherford, Texas; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister Georgia Furlong.
Betty retired from the Quality Control Department at Kraft Foods. She was a member of the Nazarene Church of Monticello and the Lodge Church of God.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 3 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home, Monticello. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home with Bob Lane officiating. Burial will be in Bement Township Cemetery.
