Joyce Arlene Chenoweth, 87, Randall Residence of Decatur, passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Hickory Point Christian Village in Forsyth.
Joyce was born December 29, 1930 in LaPorte City, Iowa the daughter of Leslie Craft and Mary (Draegert) Craft Conner. She was a homemaker and farm wife. Joyce was a member of the Forsyth United Methodist Church, on the Women’s Committee for the Macon County Farm Bureau, and was a 4H leader. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, photography, crafts, and sewing. She married John E. Chenoweth February 26, 1950. He preceded her in death December 23, 2014.
Joyce is survived by her children Pam (Dan) Jarboe of Ivesdale, Mark (Teresa) Chenoweth of Decatur, and Mike (Shelly) Chenoweth of Oreana, grandchildren Chelsea (Robert) Groess, Patricia (Brett) Winston, Katherine (Brandon) Kuehl, and Jonathan Chenoweth (fiancé Katie Jones), great-grandchildren Emma and Max Groess and Michaela and Anneliese Winston, and sister Jean Tyler.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three brothers.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM Thursday, December 13, 2018 in the Dawson & Wikoff North Chapel. Private family services to celebrate Joyce’s life will be held. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Forsyth United Methodist Church or the Macon County Farm Bureau Foundation.
