Larry L. Redmond, 71, of rural Fairmount, passed away suddenly in the emergency room at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, at 2:26 p.m. (January 25, 2019).

Larry was born Dec. 31, 1947, in Danville, the son of Cecil and Thelma Lucille Jinkins Redmond.

He married Margaret Heaton Nov. 5, 1983, in rural Fairmount. Margaret survives, as well as a step-son, Jay Heaton of Georgetown; three step-daughters, Lori (Steve) McKinney of Lovington, IL, Lisa (Gary) Stanley of Attica, and Nanci Heaton of Fairmount; two sisters, Donna (Tom) Bennett of Cape Coral, Fla., and Phyllis Thomas of Hoopeston; 10 step-grandchildren; and 6 step-great-grandchildren.

Larry had worked for more than 30 years for the Chuckles Candy Company in Danville; he enjoyed hunting, raising mules, and was a general all-around outdoorsman, and loved woodworking. Larry was a proud member of the NRA.

Funeral services took place January 30 at Robison Chapel in Catlin. Pastor Zach LeCrone officated. 

Burial was held in the Pate Cemetery in rural Catlin.
