Leonard D. Stiverson, 74, of Ocala, FL., passed away at 8:51 P.M., on Saturday, October 19, 2019, at the Brandley House Hospice of Marion County, Summerfield, FL.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., on Sunday, November 3, 2019, at the South Shores Christian Church, Decatur, IL. The Rev. Steve Ingram will officiate. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Kidney Foundation or the South Shores Christian Church, Decatur, IL.
Leonard was born on December 9, 1944 in Monticello, IL., a son of George and Edna Wiggins Stiverson. He married Rosemary Garlin in 1966, and they had 2 children; Kelley (DJ) Randolph of Winter Park, FL., and Kevin (Danni) Stiverson of Cincinnati, OH. He later married Sandy Read on April 5, 1990, and she survives of Ocala, FL.
Other survivors include a granddaughter: Hailey Stiverson, and 2 stepchildren; Renee McMcNeil and Nichole Reed, 4 step-grandchildren; Kaya, Morgan, Darren and Dale. Also surviving are siblings; Barbara Wafflard, Dick Stiverson, Judy (Tom) Good and Maggie (Danny) Dean. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 nieces; Tara and Tonya Stiverson.
Leonard graduated from Monticello High School in 1963, he retired from Firestone of Decatur after 34 years, he enjoyed bowling and golf and was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. A luncheon will be provided following the memorial service and everyone is welcome.
